about

Created in 3 hours in a basement just to get some much needed practice in.

lyrics

I’m just waiting out another day, maybe tomorrow’s one with more good news
from breakfast to dinner, get lost in the intermediate hours that ensue
hopefully clouding up my eyes instead of my dreams or views
wish I could just make like Robert Johnson and sing away when I’ve got the Blues.
So many hues through which I gained perception on exactly what I could lose,
without dollars or a blue collar, atleast I can still have my muse,
feel like at any moment this could become exploded, they’ve worn down my fuse,
so soured on every hour I’ve worked, its been simply a ruse
so I lay back, complain and decimate the pain with booze or try to make the right moves
And hope I never see my body chalked out on the news.
So much pressure on a good dude whose mind is focused but production is predicated on the tones of my moods,
My mind's still chained by emotion but my toes are free, nothing restricting me like I am running see - no tendency to let it be, feet naked, I'm running the mental nudes away from these rude dudes who think the way I let the ship sink is simply too taboo,
wife beaters and tattoos thinkin’ they so damn cool but there still playing by the rules
while I’m making the embracing something that’s true and made for me
because even though the 9 to 5 is trapped in cubicle slavery
it’s not the paper that they payin’ me, it’s my people - they keep saving me.
